Happy Easter! May the resurrection of Jesus be a source of strength and hope in your faith!
Holy Week and Easter are my favorite season of our liturgical year. This year we began a new tradition here at the Monastery in celebrating Tenebrae on Wednesday evening. What a beautiful way to prepare us for Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
To all who organized, participated in and make possible each of these faith experiences we are indeed grateful.
God has blessed us abundantly over these last few months with:
Our Oblate program…the anticipation of five women making their Oblation in May;
Retreatants each weekend and many throughout the weekdays for group, private, and directed retreats from around the valley and from around the country;
The incredible success of fundraisers:
The Super Bowl,
Yard Sales,
Car Raffle, and the
Dollar Store donations
The Faith Community at the Monastery who
Provide support for
Retreats,
Yard Sales, and
Organizing Donations
As I reflected this week, our greatest treasure at the Monastery is in the gift and treasure of people. We pray, laugh, cry, and celebrate with one another reflecting God’s love for each of us. To each of you our heartfelt thanks, love, and deep appreciation as we all journey in our faith experience.
